Pufferfish; Tetraodontidae

Their scientific name refers to four large teeth, fused into an upper and lower plate, which they use for crushing the shells of the crustaceans and molluscs on which they feed.

Our smaller Puffer, not often seen.

Fairly rare in Koh Phangan waters and quite distinct from the Starry Puffer.

Our biggest Puffer - relatively common at many of the places we go diving.
