Unlike the Brachyurans which have a reasonably standard body shape, the Anomurans are a generally dissimilar bunch. They still have 10 legs, but 1 pair are small and often unseen – used for cleaning the gills. Of the infra-order it’s the Hermit Crabs that are most often noticed when we’re out scuba diving.
