Chaloklum Diving plan an Advanced Diving Special, May 2014

Heinz and Angie at Sail Rock with Chaloklum DivingAs soon as the Easter holidays were over, Koh Phangan became a very quiet island. And as ever, the scuba diving and snorkelling conditions remained fine – we’ve had a continuous sequence of great dive trips to Sail Rock and Angthong Marine Park for the last couple of weeks!

SO, at the dive centre we reckon that it’s time to try to organise something different in the next few days, while there are still some divers around on Koh Phangan! The plan is for Sunday, 11th May – Southwest Pinnacles, Samran Pinnacles (yes, Samran at last!) and an afternoon dive at Sail Rock. Advanced level divers and above are absolutely welcome – please let us know!

We had a pleasant staff party last week to say “Cheerio” to DM Vince who’s returning to the arctic wilds, and Angie and Heinz who leave next week, and to welcome Mr Scott, escaping from normality in the UK! Sascha has made a brief appearance at the diving school from Koh Lanta, prior to moving back for the summer, and it looks like Guy should be rejoining the team next month.

Wiser people than Nick have pointed out that there’s still rather a lot to fill in and tidy up in the “Bony Fish” section on our Marine Life Guide – point taken, but a quiet dive school means there will be more time to get it done…
