Chaloklum Diving revisit Samran Pinnacles at last!

Flabellina bicolor, Nudibranch from Chaloklum Diving at Samran Pinnacles, Thailand. After a lot of talk over the last few months we have finally managed to take the Chaloklum Diving boat to Samran Pinnacles, as well as doing a night dive Sail Rock – a first timer for Nick! We have to thank our latest certified PADI Divemaster, Marina, for making sure it happened and treating us to a most adventurous dive trip! Boat diving conditions from Koh Phangan are fine at the moment with nice visibility and calm seas after a wavy few days before, although there is a little current running at Sail Rock as full moon approaches.
Visibility is also fine at our local dive sites – Michi was at Koh Ma today with a very happy Father and Daughter team Discovering SCUBA Diving on the coral reef there. And as the rainy season hasn’t kicked in yet, there’s still action at the diving school – a few folks fun diving and a serious DE Rescue Diver course conducted by Sascha for 2 of his diving friends. Socially we have now recovered from Marina’s Divemaster party – must ask Michi if he has any photos that it’s OK to show on Facebook! And in the next few days Lek will be cooking us a proper sticky rice and laap meal (with a little Sang Som/Soda/Lime) as a proper farewell to our super DM.
The world will be relieved to know that the rather shaky Crustaceans section of our Marine Life Guide is now sorted out as far as is possible, and you can expect a few, new, quality photos to be uploaded over the next month as we conquer the backlog…
