Chaloklum Diving take it easy on Koh Phangan, for a change !

Flamboyant Flatworm from Chaloklum Diving, Koh PhanganLife is surprisingly quiet on Koh Phangan at the moment but it does look like the nasty East wind that we’ve had blowing for the last few days is dying down now.
Much better conditions yesterday meant that we sent our own diveboat out to Sail Rock today – hopefully we’ll be back to the really excellent scuba diving of last week with some great visibility, a whaleshark appearance and good local diving too – hence Nick’s flatworm photo from Chaloklum Pier!
And, as per normal, we’re waiting for news on conditions at Anthong Marine Park – hoping we can make a dive trip and be able to offer some good snorkelling too; if not maybe we will be going to Koh Tao instead…
The diving school is also running in a lower gear with only a few of the PADI pro’s around and about. Talking of which, a big “Cheerio” to instructors Gabriel and Frederic who’ve reluctantly gone back to France – thanks for your help boys, and hope to meet up again. Even Sascha’s leaving us, albeit only for a few days on Koh Lanta with Christian and Kerstin – now don’t go having too much fun maan! And needless to say, Michi is still teaching on, with a PADI Open Water Diver course for Kayleigh and Lindsey from the USA, aided and abetted by Divemaster trainee Coline!
But never fear, we are expecting much more action at the dive centre soon – how can it not be, with the forthcoming return of the mighty Heinz and Angie ? !
