It’s the February update from Chaloklum Diving!

Chaloklum Diving at Anthong Marine Park in the Gulf of ThailandWhale Shark sightings, Anthong Marine Park trips plus a whole lot of Divemaster trainees! It’s been all action at Chaloklum Diving of late, as Koh Phangan is quite busy and the weather (touch wood!) has been behaving reasonably well…
Up to a few days ago we were having regular Whale Shark encounters at Sail Rock – we’ve got some nice photos and a few videos on file, as well as a bunch of divers with happy memories! Diving conditions are a little rough out there at the moment but are forecast to be calming soon.
Good news is that we’ve been able to start taking our boat out to Anthong Marine Park again. The diving there (and snorkelling of course) has been almost better than Sail Rock on occasion – and it’s such a peaceful day out in the Gulf of Thailand…
Back in Chaloklum at the dive centre we’ve had a healthy variety of PADI courses to keep our instructors on the ball. As well as Discovering SCUBA Diving or doing their Open Water Diver courses, it’s nice to see that more people are signing up for Advanced, Rescue and Professional level training.
Talking of which, congratulations to Mr Honza on completion of an excellent PADI Divemaster course. Very well done, good luck in Bali, and we’re all looking forward to the party !!
And don’t work too hard on that movie, Jirka – there’s lots more to do when you get back to Koh Phangan, hahaha!
