Let’s Dive Koh Phangan’s Local Dive Sites

Soft Corals at Hin Kong, a Koh Phangan local dive siteThe weather on Koh Phangan is lovely and the Gulf of Thailand is calm, but to be honest, the mighty Sail Rock is not all it could be at the moment. And although we had an enjoyable trip to Angthong National Marine Park yesterday, the best diving conditions at the moment seem to be at our local dive sites. So we’re planning a Phangan Diving and Snorkelling Special tomorrow with our big boat, to visit some of the dive sites that we don’t dive as much as we would like to. Nick’s charging his camera batteries in anticipation.
We’re quite busy at the dive centre with a healthy variety of Padi courses; we have Open Water Divers, Rescue Divers and an Emergency First Responder who’s doing her Peak Performance Buoyancy soon (Hi Aqua-Marina!). So it’s no rest for the wicked or the diving school team (we do like it that way), although we are planning to eat some good Italian food at Gianni’s in a day or 2.
Some news for our Marine Life Guide is that we’ve been accepted as contributors to EOL, the Encyclopedia of Life, and our photos will be a part of their monster photographic database. It’s nice to feel we can help in a small way.
