All these underwater photos of Brown Sweetlips (except the juvenile) were taken on dive trips to the deeper dive sites. We see them mainly when we’re diving at Sail Rock but also at Southwest Pinnacles.
In 2021 the juvenile was identified – it is very different from the adult in form and habits. It mimics a dead leaf and moves with the flow of the water as seen in the video below – taken at Mango Bay, Koh Tao. Many thanks to Bart for the identification and the video.
