We have not finalised the date (we’ll post it on Facebook as soon as we know), but later this month we will be mobilising the Chaloklum Diving boat for a day of reef cleaning around Koh Phangan – likely dive sites include Koh Ma and Kong Yai (“Rock Point”) – PADI professionals and divers with at least Advanced Open Water certification or 20+ dives are most welcome to join us for free.
Otherwise the good news is that we’ve 15+ metre vis and negligible current at Sail Rock again, as well as a whale shark 2 days ago. Hopefully Koh Tao is clearing up too, as we wait for a report on Anthong Marine Park conditions…
As a not-so-busy August is over, the diving school team is thinning out for a hopefully not-so-low season, with Mr Lance finally departing for the wilds of Mongolia and Guy off to autumn in Switzerland. But life is never dull at the dive centre – Michi’s teaching a German Advanced course, Gavin should be back to his long running PADI Open Water Diver course with Maz, and Angie’s back – we’re trying to get Michael to join her for a fun dive at Sail Rock before Heinz gets to Koh Phangan!
And our Marine Life Directory should be entering another small growth phase, with a bunch of new photos due for upload. We’ve also realised that the the crustaceans section is wrongly labelled but can’t restructure it without changing all the URL’s – Oh the delights of technology!
