Update from a quiet Koh Phangan

Heinz and Gustav fun diving at Sail Rock, ThailandStrange days…  Koh Phangan feels even more like a sensible place to be at the moment.

In case you’re wondering, as it’s always been Chaloklum Diving policy, we intend keeping the school open. We can at least provide a diving and snorkelling service for the few folks who are left here!

So, as always seems to happen, the diving conditions have now decided to improve even more, with much better visibility at Sail Rock and reports of good diving at Anthong Marine Park at last.

At the diving centre our team have actually been quite busy over the last week or so with a bunch of fun divers, introductory dives and even a PADI course or 2. However many people are now leaving Koh Phangan to get back home and we will have to wait to see how quiet it gets. Michi is still enjoying playing with his new guitar and Jan is planning another trip to Raja Ampat next month, so at least they should not get too bored!

We also plan to get out to do some more local dive trips and reef cleaning sessions – if there are any experienced divers here on Koh Phangan who would like to join us, please get in contact.

And finally, quiet times also mean a chance to work on our websites – not a favourite job, but necessary! We might be asking Chaloklum Diving supporters to check out some new pages in the near future.
