What a Diving Difference a Day makes (on Koh Phangan)

Happy PADI Divemaster student at Sail Rock. After a week of impressive (but no good for scuba diving!) waves and wind, the weather has actually behaved as forecast (!!) and we have a nice calm, sunny day today. The even better news is that our Padi instructor Michi has been out at Sail Rock today and he reports that the dive conditions are really good after such unpleasant weather; heaps of fish and marine life, with visibility in the 5 to 10 metre range and only mild surge in the shallows. So we’re planning a diving trip for tomorrow and keeping an ear open for conditions at Koh Tao and Anthong Marine Park…
The photo is one Nick turned up, of Divemaster Mr Scott, by way of a “Hello Man and hope you’re hangin’ on in the UK” with best wishes and hoping that you get back soon. And of course it’s time for various PADI staff members to be reappearing; Messrs Guy, Sean and Vince should be back with the diving school over the next few weeks as Koh Phangan gets busier. Otherwise there’s not a lot of PADI courses news, other than Michi completing a Rescue Diver Course yesterday with DM trainee-to-be David, and friend and Chaloklum Diving regular, Monsieur Tony – well done boys!
Last news is that we have been accepted as contributors to the Encyclopedia of Life, meaning that our Marine Life Guide photos may be getting a wider audience soon.
